ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Descriptive Punjabi translation:
– ਇੱਕ ਸਰਬ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਰੱਬ
– ਜੋ ਸਚ ਹੈ
– ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ
– ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ
– ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਭਾਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ
– ਜੋ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ
– ਜੋ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ
– ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ
– ਇਹ ਮੱਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬਖਸਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹੈ।
Descriptive English translation:
– One all-pervasive Supreme Being.
– Who is the Truth
– Sole motive force, creator of all possibilities
– Fears none and frightens none
– Does not carry animus towards anyone
– Is beyond the pale of time
– Is not born, does not die
– Self-existent
– This wisdom is a blessing from the Guru.
